If playing anywhere nearby, I’m going. But, I will also often go out of my way to see them.
When I can’t see them, I wait patiently for shows to get posted. Often I catch up on their setlists.
These are the bands “in my collection.” Be assured, I see and enjoy seeing dozens of other bands, but these bands… these are my bands.
If you haven’t already, FIND YOUR BAND and start your collection. (Or bands. I started with one.)
Unlike happy meal toys, you can’t collect ’em all. (In fact, my current collection can be hard to manage.) Social media helps but must be used with caution because FOMO is a heartless siren.
Finally, my collection makes it easy for me to answer that age old question, “If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have thirty-four jam bands with you, which ones would they be?
